Thelonious Monk was a pianist and composer, a shy, visionary genius who
almost never worked with guitar players (with the exception of Charlie Christian, during the founding years of bebop). Thelonious Monk on the guitar is a reflection on one of the greatest jazz composers and pianists of the 20th century.
"Reflecting Monk" will update Monk's stories to 2014: it's a reflection on freedom in music, attained through attention to details and love for the music. It is a humble attempt to do justice to Monk's unique approach to harmony, melody and improvisation.
